But the one who boasts should boast in this: that he understands and knows me — that I am the Lord, showing faithful love, justice, and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things. This is the Lord’s declaration.
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭9:24‬

Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
‭‭James‬ ‭1:27‬

Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:9-10‬

Your name be honored as holy.
We honor His name as holy when we walk in a manner that reflects who he is. If we bear the name of Christ, then our lives must bear his ways and our living his character. How else can his kingdom come and his will be done?

We are views, portals into the eternal, into his kingdom. We must live in a way that displays his faithful love, justice, and righteousness and be vessels that carry the trademarks of his kingdom; manifestations of his kingdom flow and function. How else will this world be impacted? How else will the world see his faithful love?
We are his earthly agents, representatives of heaven. We are the ones who are to bring the scent of heaven to earth; to employ, to implement his kingdom and his will into our corners of this world. If we seek justice, let us be that justice. If we seek love in a love-starved society, let us bring that love. Let his righteousness be displayed in us.

Oswald Chambers once said, "We always look for justice in this world, but there is no such thing as justice."

We must bring the justice that this world needs; justice for the lonely, justice for the hungry, and justice for the broken. Abuse and greed, manipulation and insincerity, have no place in the church, for they have no place in the kingdom of God.

The Our Father prayer is really and offering to God, an offering that says, "I am available. Let your kingdom of love, righteousness, and justice be the rule in my life. Let my life carry out your perfect will. Make me more than just an observer of the problem; make me part of the answer."

Will you make this your prayer?
